Alliance sent packing from ESL One Germany 2020 by Team Secret

ESL One Germany 2020 would see two elimination series today
with the first being between Team Secret and Alliance, as both teams tried to
avoid elimination from the event.

After Team Secret lost their first series in over four months
against mudgolems in the upper bracket, they would need to fight through the
lower bracket if they wanted to make their way to another tournament victory.
Standing in their way today would be Alliance, who have been having a great tournament
up until this point – but Secret had different plans.

Game one of the series remained a very even one for the most
part, but as the two teams reached a boiling point, it was Secret who came out
ahead and claimed a solid lead.  Although
Alliance threw everything that they had at Secret, it was not enough to secure
a victory, as Secret were able to gain the early series lead.

Alliance seemed to have a much better grasp of the second
game of the series, although only making this show after the 20-minute mark.
But, even through their brilliance, Secret outclassed them when it came down to
it, not allowing Alliance anywhere to go. While Nikolay “Nikobaby” Nikolov’s Lifestealer
did everything it could to keep Alliance afloat, it was nowhere close to enough
to qualm the threat of Secret as they powered their way to another victory.

While Team Secret move forward in the lower bracket of ESL
One Germany 2020, looking to make a run through the event with the biggest challenge
they have faced in a while, Alliance are eliminated from the event in a poor fifth/sixth
place, a finish far worse than their recent events.
