India bans Mobile Legends: Bang Bang & 58 other Chinese applications

The future of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in India is in question with the recent ban of Chinese applications in the country. The Indian government has recently made the decision to implement a ban on 59 Chinese applications including TikTok, SHAReit, UC Browser, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

This is a big hit for the popular game which has amassed 75 million active users and broken the 100 million mark for downloads. A large portion of these numbers come from India.

While the game has no yet been removed from the Play and App stores, Moonton, the developer of MLBB, has already released a statement regarding the decision.

Dear Player,

It has always been our top priority here at Moonton to ensure our users’ data privacy and security. As soon as the interim order of banning 59 apps, including Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, was issued by the Indian government, we started communicating with the Indian government.

At the moment, we are actively working with the Indian government on this matter and we will keep updating our progress on our official Facebook page. Thank you so much for your understanding and support to MLBB!
