Brazilian esports promotion company Gaming Culture announced Friday that Banco do Brasil, Outback Steakhouse, and computer manufacturer N.A.V.E. will serve as sponsors of its women’s VALORANT tournament, Girl Pwr Valorant. which will be streamed on Twitch from Oct. 31 – Nov. 02.
This is the second time that Outback and Banco do Brasil, which partially belongs to the Brazilian government and is one of the largest banks of Latin America, have joined together in a Gaming Culture initiative. The first was the women’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournament Grl Pwr Invitational in June.
Gaming Culture Founder Peterson Rodrigues spoke with The Esports Observer about the sponsors: “To fulfill our commitment to the women’s scenario, we need strong companies, and having Banco do Brasil and Outback again in a project is of utmost importance to us as they are two non-endemic brands recognized for their support to esports. When I see non-endemic companies alongside endemic ones, such as N.A.V.E, in Gaming Culture championships, I see how much we are fulfilling our mission. ”
This latest sponsorship highlights the intention of the bank to expand its support to esports beyond CS:GO, as it told TEO in July, and follows up Outback’s approach to the esports audience as the company also explained to TEO in September.
