TNC Predator blown out the DOTA Summit 13: SEA by BOOM Esports

With the penultimate day of the DOTA Summit 13: Southeast
Asia event coming to an end, we now have only three teams left, with only the
lower bracket final and grand finals left to play after a great day of Dota 2
action.

Kicking things off today in the upper bracket final would be
Among Us taking on Motivate.Trust Gaming, with both teams hoping to make it through
to a guaranteed top two finish today. Going into the series, AU seemed as
though they would be able to take an extremely quick victory, slaughtering MTG to
claim the first game. However, as we’ve seen from MTG throughout the event,
they should never be counted out – especially after their amazing group stage
run.

Over the next two games, although AU had some chances to close
things out, MTG were miles ahead in every sense of the statement. While the second
game nearly reached the 50-minute mark, MTG would tie up the series, before
dominating AU in the final and decisive third game – securing a magnificent 2-1
victory and becoming the first grand finalists. For Among Us, they would have to
look toward the lower bracket finals tomorrow in hopes of getting a rematch
against MTG.

 Closing out the day we
would see a huge lower bracket series between BOOM Esports and TNC Predator as elimination
awaited the losing squad. When the two teams met during the DOTA Summit 13: SEA
group stages, BOOM were able to take a clean 2-0 win – and going into the
series, they set themselves up to continue on that path. While the main feature
of the game was a team fight in the mid-lane where every hero on both sides
died, TNC were unable to really get their footing and would end up falling to a
0-1 deficit.

Everything looked perfectly setup for a final and decisive
game three as TNC seemed to have the upper hand for nearly the entirety of game
two – except for a few small mishaps before the 20-minute mark. As they begun
to run away with the game though, they begun to make small mistakes, bleeding
away kills but still holding a firm net worth advantage. However, one final
error would end up costing them the game and series as they walked directly
into Alfi “Khezcute” Nelphyana’s Echo Stomp and this resulted in a complete
team wipe and game ending push from BOOM.

With that swift turnaround, TNC ended the series with a 0-2
defeat, eliminating them from DOTA Summit 13: SEA, while BOOM Esports march
forward into the final day tomorrow, ready for a lower bracket meeting with
Among Us.
