Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris rewards this week and map news for July 3

The new Trials of Osiris event is kicking off in the coming hours and will boast its own collection of Destiny 2 rewards for this week. As usual, Bungie will be flipping the switch on July 3 across PS4, Xbox One and PC. The challenges of the Trials of Osiris will be launching at 6pm in the UK and will not include any prior updates regarding what new rewards will be offered, or what map has been selected.

The good news is that the Guardians community does a good job keeping track of everything available for those who can win a few matches, or go all the way with a Flawless run.

While Bungie won’t be giving much away about the returning weekly event, they have been talking about other ways they are tweaking the game.

This includes how Guardians can earn rewards through Twitch, with a new statement from the development team confirming this week:

“A few months back, the official Twitch Destiny Extension was released, giving players the opportunity to showcase their builds while playing Trials of Osiris every weekend.

“We’ve been slowly building this feature and introduced bounties to earn Trials Tokens when reacting to matches. Tuesday, we introduced a new bounty which brought quite a buzz to the Destiny directory.

“Gifted Subs Bounty – Gift 2x subscriptions to any Twitch steamer live-streaming Destiny 2 when they have the official Twitch Destiny Extension active.

“While this bounty will be available weekly, your first completion will award you two exclusive rewards: the “Stream of Light” emblem and “Watcher’s Shade” shader, each of which will be available from Amanda Holliday in the Tower.”

The development team will be releasing the 3v3 Crucible playlist at around 6pm GMT on July 3, and returning players will want to visit Saint-14 soon after, who will be located in the Tower Hangar.

The Osiris reset offers a new inventory of Trials Passages, Bounties, and the option to turn in Trials Tokens.

A different map and a fresh set of rewards will be available to Guardians today if they meet the requirements of the 960 Power rating needed to buy Passages.

As ever, Trials fans will earn exclusive rewards by defeating other teams of three, while hoping to gain entry to the Lighthouse.

It should be noted that Mods now drop through a white item bauble instead of an erroneously assigned Exotic Engram bauble, and duplicate mods will no longer drop from the Flawless chest.

Additional Masterwork material rewards now drop at three, five, and seven Trials wins, and Trials Tokens distribution has been re-balanced to focus on wins three, five, and seven of a Trials Passage.

As always, there are five unique Passages that can be bought from Saint-14 which offer their own mechanics.

Each Passage will track wins and losses in a single Trials run. If three losses appear on a Passage, players will be restricted from the activity and have to either reset the Passage or purchase a new one.
