The FIFA 22 closed beta is launching this week, with gamers getting their first chance to try out the highly anticipated new footie game from EA. According to well-known leaker FUTZone, the FIFA 22 beta release date is set for Wednesday August 11. And it’s believed beta codes for this technical test have already started to be sent out.

Towards the start of this month @FUTZONECENTRAL tweeted: “Wednesday, 11th of August is the date the #FIFA22 Beta goes live. Codes will be sent out this weekend!”

It hasn’t been revealed what game modes could feature during the FIFA 22 beta, nor is it clear how long the beta will last.

If you’re hoping to take part in the FIFA 22 beta, then you need to have received an invite to take part from EA.

To be eligible to receive a FIFA 22 beta code, you need to be verified FUT Champions player.

This means you need to have won at least 27 FUT matches in one weekend.

You also need to make a few tweaks to your account to increase your chances of receiving a FIFA 22 beta code.

• First, go to the email preferences section of your EA Account

• Then, make sure you have selected to be informed about new EA services and receive news e-mails

• Then, you need to select FIFA 21, Ultimate Team, FIFA Mobile and any other preferred games you like

• Then choose you preferred platform of choice

• And finally select update

To be eligible you also need to be living in the UK or the US.

If you don’t receive an invite for the FIFA 22 beta then you still could have another chance to play the game ahead of its October release date.

That’s because a FIFA 22 demo may be on the horizon.

EA typically releases a free demo for its upcoming new FIFA game, however last year the gaming giant bucked this trend.

This was due to pressures related to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

We’ll have to wait and see if this is a similar story this year.

The FIFA demo usually launches a few weeks before the full EA release date.

If EA follows a similar pattern with a potential FIFA 22 demo then we could see it launch around mid-September.
