Captain America is the newest Marvel hero to guest star in Fortnite, and his appearance could herald more to come.

Fortnite is practically drowning in superhero guest stars from both Marvel and DC, making it the closest we can get to a proper crossover between the two comic book giants.

The current season has weekly challenges that are leading up to an unlockable Aquaman skin, based on the movie starring Jason Momoa, but right now you can purchase the all-American Avenger himself, Captain America.

The character has been added to the game as part of the 4 July celebrations and is clearly based on Chris Evans’ portrayal of the character in the modern Marvel movies.

You don’t need to jump through any hoops to get the skin for yourself either, as you can purchase it from the in-game store for 2,000 V-Bucks.

However, he is only available for 24 hours, so if you haven’t bought him yet, best go do that sooner rather than later, especially since there’s no guarantee he will return another time in the future.

As part of the outfit, you’ll also gain his iconic shield, which can be used as both a back bling and a pickaxe.

The teaser video advertising his appearance, though, has some wondering if Epic Games is already teasing another Marvel addition.

Cap enters the scene via what seems to be the Bifrost, the bridge Asgardians, like fellow Avenger Thor, use to reach other realms.

Does this mean that Thor himself will be arriving later down the line? It wouldn’t be surprising given how much Marvel content has already been added.

Fortnite is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
