Spider-Man is swinging into Midnight Suns alongside Scarlet Witch and Venom, set to face off against Lilith, the mother of demons, on October 9.
That means we now know about all of the 12 playable heroes, not including the bonus 13th—us, the player. Going by the alias of The Hunter.
From the trailer, we can see Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, and Venom have their classic costume designs, with the same black and gold variants the other superheroes are donning. Spider-Man also doesn't appear to be a PlayStation exclusive, unlike Marvel's Avengers, so we can all web sling our way through hordes of demons.
Midnight Suns will come with three different editions—standard, Enhanced, and Legendary. Enhanced includes five premium skins—Captain America Future Soldier, Captain Marvel Mar-Vell, Magik Phoenix 5, Nico Minoru Sister Grimm, and Wolverine X-Force. Meanwhile, Legendary adds 23 premium skins and a four-DLC season pass, prepping you for the game's expansions.
Interestingly, the Enhanced Edition shows our heroes in grey, looking more villainous, while the Legendary Edition turns them outright into baddies with Spider-Man sporting demonic horns and a Venom-like tongue. All with Lilith in the centre. Clearly, something's amiss in devil town.
You won't have to wait long to get your hands on Midnight Suns, launching later this year just in time for Halloween, but if that's still too far off for you, Ms Marvel has begun streaming on Disney+. It's a little more lighthearted and jovial than the gritty teen-rated Midnight Suns which takes us on a detour to fight hellspawn with Blade, Wolverine, and Ghost Rider, but it might scratch that Marvel itch. It stars Kamala Khan, the number one Captain Marvel superfan who finds herself getting powers during a trip to AvengersCon, not unlike the comics and Marvel's Avengers game.
You could also play that during your wait, but there's a bug floating around now where everybody is turning into Iron Man. Even Thor. But not with the cool armour, just his powers.
