Minecon is being replaced with Minecraft Live, which this year will be held as a virtual event. Mojang noted in the event announcement that attendees will be able to vote on the next Minecraft mob, and now the studio has shown the three you get to choose from.
According to the announcement, all three hail from other Minecraft games so the vote is really on which one to import into Minecraft proper. Those include the Iceologer from Minecraft Dungeons, who occupies snowy and icy areas. If brought into Minecraft, it will occupy mountainous areas and fling ice clouds at you. The Moobloom from Minecraft Earth is a passive cow with flowers growing on its back, and it has a special interaction with bees that make your Flower Forest biomes even more floral. Finally, the Glow Squid from Minecraft Earth is very similar to the existing squid mobs, but they’re bioluminescent for pretty underwater views.
The vote will take place during the Minecraft Live livestream on the game’s official Twitter channel.
