Red Dead Redemption 2 fans want more single-player content, and they’re willing to dredge up an old Change.org petition to get it.
Two years ago, user Ivan Ojeda started a petition on Change.org called “Single player Red Dead Redemption DLC.” His ask is quite clear: “Let’s get our voices heard. We want Red Dead Redemption 2 Single player DLCs. It doesn’t have to be free.” The petition sat, presumably unnoticed, for some time. Recently, however, it’s been gaining attention.
A look now reveals that Ojeda’s campaign has gathered 6,515 supporters out of the 7,500 goal. The interesting thing is that most of these supporters seem to have come in the past few days. Just three days ago, the petition cleared the 6,000 signatures mark. At the time of this writing, signatures are still coming in.
As it is now, Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC seems unlikely. Rockstar separated Red Dead Online into its own thing, and GTA Online is prospering. Then again, Take-Two’s CEO has reaffirmed Rockstar’s commitment to single-player games. Still, that will probably take the form of GTA 6 before we see Rockstar go back and do story DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2. Red Dead fans will just have to make do with the Outlaw Passes in Red Dead Online.
