Second Stranger Things and Fortnite crossover rumoured ahead of season 4 return

It’s not even October yet and Fortnite is believed to have two horror themed crossovers on the horizon, including Stranger Things.

Back in 2019, Fortnite introduced some Stranger Things cosmetics as part of a cross-promotional push for the show’s third season.

Considering the Netflix series remains a hot commodity, it would make perfect sense for the two to collaborate once more, now that it’s midway through its fourth and penultimate season.

Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but some datamining efforts seem to have uncovered proof of a second crossover ahead of the season’s second half, which debuts this week.

As part of the last Fortnite update, somewhere in its code is an encrypted set only known as WaffleWarrior. What does this have to do with Stranger Things? Well, waffles are the favourite food of Eleven, the series’ child psychic.

If this turns out to be the case, then this next set of Stranger Things cosmetics will likely become available within the coming week, since season 4 picks back up again this Friday on July 1.

This theory was shared by Fortnite leaker FNBRIntel on Twitter, although they do think that it could be a stretch and in reference to something else entirely.
