Steam Halloween Sale 2020: Everything we know so far

In a year unlike no other, it’s great to have something to look forward to.

It’s that time of year again when PC gamers keep their eyes peeled for the next Steam sale.

The Steam sales usually take place at random times throughout the year – but unfortunately Valve never announce it beforehand.

But pretty much without fail, the video game distribution platform slashes the prices of its games and a good time is had by all.

Even though Valve usually keeps tight-lipped about the timing of their sales, they are usually quite consistent.

Their sales are usually held for spring, summer, Halloween, Black Friday and Christmas.

When is the Steam Halloween sale 2020?

The Steam Halloween sale always takes place in October, but the actual date changes around.

But luckily, an unofficial countdown website has a timer counting down currently.

The fan-based site has a great track-record, so you can pencil it into your diary.

According to whenisthenextsteamsale.com, the Steam Halloween sale 2020 falls on Thursday, October 29.

The deals usually go live at around 6pm GMT, so it won’t be surprising if the Halloween deals this year do the same.

Although the date isn’t confirmed, it offers an insight into when it most likely will be.

The site describes how it comes to the date conclusion: “Valve never announces Steam sale dates up front, but Steam sales return every year in a relatively stable frequency.

“Based on data from the last few years, the upcoming sale dates are predicted.

“These predictions are a combination of the following factors: dates and months in which a sales started, which day of the week a sale usually starts."

The explanation continues: “How long a sale usually lasts, what dates/events a sale generally hits, times are based on the East Pacific time zone.”

“Furthermore the dates are updated every now and then when there is more information in recent news.

“As you can see there are multiple sources to find out when a sale will most likely start.”
