Despite holding a sale just a few short weeks ago, Valve is back with another big savings event for Black Friday. The Steam Autumn Sale has a November 22 launch date and a 6pm GMT UK start time. Running for one week only, the mega savings event ends at the same time on November 29. Unlike the Halloween event where the discounts were largely limited to horror titles, the Black Friday sale will feature a much wider selection of games.

Valve explains more: “The Steam Autumn Sale is fast approaching, with an entire week filled with tens of thousands of discounts!

“From November 22nd until November 29th, browse through every genre imaginable to grab games on sale for the perfect additions to your Steam library.

“In fact, while you’re there, pick up a title or two for the lovely folks on your holiday shopping list! Not only can you gift specific games, we also have digital gift cards up for grabs.”

For the duration of the sale, customers can also nominate their favourite games for the Steam Awards.

Fans can nominate games directly from each game’s store page, or by visiting the official nomination page, which will be added to the Steam homepage.

There are 11 different categories to choose from, including ‘Game of the Year’, ‘Best VR Game’, ‘Most Innovative Gameplay’ and ‘Outstanding Visual Style’.

Other categories include ‘Labor of Love’, ‘Better with Friends’, ‘Outstanding Story-Rich Game’, ‘Best Game You Suck At’, ‘Best Soundtrack’ and the ‘Sit Back and Relax’ award.

With the launch of the Steam Deck earlier this year, Valve has added a brand new category covering the best games on the go.

In the build up to the Autumn Sale, customers can make savings on a variety of additional titles.

There’s the Bandai Namco sale, where fans can purchase discounted versions of games such as Tekken 7, Ace Combat 7, Tales of Arise and Code Vein.

Elsewhere, customers can make savings on titles such as Doom Eternal, Borderlands 3, and Crysis Remastered Trilogy.

Express Online will update this story with a selection of some of the best discounts available in the Steam Autumn Sale when it goes live.
