Death Stranding originally launched on PS4 in November 2019 to much critical praise. In GameSpot’s Death Stranding review, we scored the game a 9/10, with reviews editor Kallie Plagge writing, “Death Stranding is a hard game to absorb. [And it’s] a game that requires patience, compassion, and love, and it’s also one we really need right now.”

Following the cancellation of “a major project” of Kojima’s, his studio is now planning its next game. Since this title is only in the “early planning stages,” details about it have yet to be revealed.
