With Sony finally having revealed the PlayStation launch date (November 12), the impending arrival of the next-gen console finally feels real. Those of us still looking for a preorder have about five weeks to secure a preorder and figure out our plans for that weekend. For those of us who have our preorder secured, however, it’s a great time to take a peek at all of the games you’ll be able to play at launch and beyond. For those who secured a PS5 preorder (or are still trying), we’ve rounded up a list of all of the biggest games you can preorder now, starting with launch titles. From PlayStation exclusives like Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon’s Souls to third-party AAA titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, there will be a lot of interesting games to play this holiday on PS5.
Many holiday games even have free next-gen upgrades to PS5, which can actually make buying the PS4 version the better option in some cases. Other games, such as first-party exclusives, will be priced at $70 on PS5. While it’s not hard to secure preorders for the PS5 games you’re looking forward to, getting the console and some accessories is proving to be a serious challenge. PS5 preorders went live without much notice at all, and retailers have had trouble keeping up with demand. Our PS5 preorder guide is updated constantly as new listings go live, so make sure to check it regularly if you’re still looking to preorder the PS5.
